Literature  in the english middle ages

The language of these people emigrants, up the beginnings of English (English Literature begins). Before these people came (450 AD) had a population and a Celtic language. In the year 1066 (Middle English period), there is the conquest of England by the Normans. The Duke of Normandy, William the Conqueror landed in southern England, in Hastings, where there is a battle in which William wins. From there, settle the Normans in England. These have power on the island during the following centuries. Therefore speak French and Latin. Until S. XIII is not about anything written in English, or is an Englishman who has variations and some French influences. The modern English has a Germanic base and also a lot important French influence.
